Duties Lead and manage the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely financial statement preparation, including balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger accounting. Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), and other regulatory requirements. Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash management activities to optimize liquidity and cash flow. Ensure adherence to SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) controls and other regulatory compliance standards across all financial operations. Prepare detailed financial reports, analysis, and commentary for internal stakeholders and external regulators, including regulatory reporting and financial statement writing. Manage accounting systems and software to streamline processes, improve data accuracy, and facilitate Excel data analysis for forecasting and budgeting purposes. Conduct cost accounting analysis, manage internal audits, and support external audits by providing necessary documentation and insights. Implement best practices in technical accounting areas such as non-profit accounting, governmental accounting, treasury management, and international accounting standards. Drive process improvements in financial close processing, account reconciliation, account analysis, and financial compliance initiatives. Experience Proven experience in managing accounting teams within complex organizations; prior experience in public accounting or corporate finance is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of

GAAP, IFRS, SOX

compliance requirements, and regulatory frameworks relevant to non-profit or governmental entities. Demonstrated expertise in financial software systems such as ERP platforms or specialized accounting tools; proficiency in spreadsheets (Excel) for data analysis is essential. Extensive background in financial reporting writing, balance sheet reconciliation, general ledger reconciliation, and account analysis. Experience with budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting analysis, treasury management, and cash flow optimization. Familiarity with technical accounting concepts including debits & credits, double entry bookkeeping, regulatory compliance accounting, and international standards.
