$110,000•$150,000 per year Job Details•We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Controller to join our team in the Construction industry. This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned professional who thrives in a bustling and vibrant work environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial and fiscal management aspects of construction projects. They will play a decisive role in the strategic planning and development of the company by providing financial insights and analysis that will shape the company's business decisions and strategies.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, Revenue Recognition, and Work in Process Accounting. 2. Coordinate and direct the preparation of budget and financial forecasts, report variances, and conduct a thorough variance analysis. 3. Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements. 4. Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting. 5. Research technical accounting issues for compliance. 6. Support month-end and year-end close processes. 7. Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting. 8. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls. 9. Additional controller duties as necessary.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required (MBA preferred). 2. Professional accreditation such as CPA or CMA is a plus. 3. Minimum of 5 years of related experience in a construction or manufacturing environment. 4. Proven working experience as a Financial Controller. 5. Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures. 6. Experience with creating financial statements. 7. Excellent accounting software user and administration skills. 8. Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations. 9. High attention to detail and accuracy. 10. Ability to direct and supervise. 11. Strong working knowledge of Work in Process Accounting, Variance Analysis, Budgeting, and Forecasting. 12. Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
