Job Description

The VP of Tax Operations North America leads the enterprise-wide tax function, overseeing compliance, reporting, planning, and risk management across domestic and international entities. This role drives tax strategy aligned with corporate goals, manages global tax teams, and ensures adherence to evolving regulatory frameworks. Key Responsibilities Oversee global tax compliance, including corporate, indirect, and international tax filings Lead quarterly and annual tax provision processes under ASC 740 and IFRS standards Develop and execute global tax strategies to optimize effective tax rate and cash flow Manage relationships with external advisors, auditors, and tax authorities Monitor legislative changes and assess impact on global operations Lead transfer pricing strategy, documentation, and audit defense Drive automation and process improvements using tax technology platforms Support M&A due diligence, structuring, and post-acquisition integration Collaborate with Finance, Legal, and Treasury on cross-functional initiatives Mentor global tax teams and foster a culture of accountability and innovation Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred) 10-15+ years of progressive tax experience, including global operations Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, international tax regimes, and transfer pricing Experience with tax provision and compliance software Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills Proven ability to manage complex projects and drive strategic outcomes
