Assistant Controller Ball Ground, GA (Fully onsite)
Salary Range:

This Assistant Controller position offers ownership of critical accounting and month-end close activities. The Assistant Controller will partner closely with operations, leadership, IT, and shared services teams to support business performance. Opportunity for the Assistant Controller to lead process improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, reporting accuracy, and internal controls. The Assistant Controller will gain valuable exposure to audits, tax compliance, and financial reporting. This Assistant Controller role provides leadership opportunities across multiple accounting functions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable. The Assistant Controller will support a manufacturing operation serving highly technical and mission-critical industries. The Assistant Controller will play an important role in improving processes and supporting strategic business initiatives. Key Responsibilities Lead the month-end close process and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting. As the Assistant Controller, oversee journal entries, accruals, revenue recognition, fixed asset accounting, and balance sheet reconciliations. Support audit activities by coordinating documentation, preparing schedules, and responding to auditor requests. Partner with accounts payable and accounts receivable teams to ensure accurate transaction processing and timely resolution of issues. Drive continuous improvement initiatives as the Assistant Controller to streamline accounting processes and strengthen internal controls. Assist with tax compliance, reporting requirements, and other strategic accounting initiatives. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience. Manufacturing accounting experience required. Previous experience as an Assistant Controller, Accounting Manager, Senior Accountant, or similar accounting leadership role preferred. Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls. Experience working with ERP systems required. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required; Power BI experience preferred. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments. #LI-SZ1 #
