Position Overview:
The Plant Controller will play a critical leadership role overseeing all accounting functions within the plant, ensuring compliance with GAAP, supporting operational decision-making, and driving continuous improvement across financial processes. This individual will act as a key partner to plant leadership while also serving as the primary contact for external audits. •
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting & Financial Reporting Lead all accounting operations, including general ledger, AP, AR, and fixed assets Oversee monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes with a focus on accuracy and timeliness Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP Maintain ownership of the general ledger, ensuring proper classification and completeness Review journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting documentation Ensure all balance sheet accounts are fully reconciled and supported Inventory & Cost Accounting Oversee inventory accounting, including valuation, reconciliation, and physical inventory processes Ensure accurate accounting for raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods Support standard costing, variance analysis, and product costing accuracy Partner closely with plant operations to align financial reporting with production activity
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required 8-10+ years of progressive accounting experience 3-5+ years of leadership experience managing accounting teams Strong manufacturing experience, including cost and inventory accounting required Experience supporting plant operations strongly preferred ERP experience in a manufacturing environment required CPA preferred If you're interested in learning more about this opportunity or would like to discuss your qualifications, please apply now.
