High-visibility leadership role partnering directly with senior leadership Lead accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, payroll, and accounts payable Opportunity to develop and strengthen accounting processes and internal controls Manage and develop an established accounting and finance team Strong opportunity for a CPA with governmental or public-sector accounting experience Key Responsibilities As the Controller, you will: Lead general accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, accounts payable, and payroll functions Oversee month-end and year-end close, reconciliations, financial statements, and internal controls Lead annual audit activities and preparation of the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) Ensure compliance with GAAP, GASB, and applicable financial reporting requirements Partner with executive leadership on budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and strategic initiatives Lead, develop, and provide oversight to the accounting and finance team Qualifications Ideal candidates for this Controller role will have: Active CPA license required Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 8+ years of progressive accounting and financial management experience 3+ years of management or supervisory experience Strong knowledge of GAAP and GASB Experience preparing or overseeing an ACFR Governmental, public-sector, or similarly complex accounting experience strongly preferred Why This Role?
