Job functions will include the following: Top Tier functions: Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, work papers, accruals and variance analysis Assist with month, quarter, and year end close Work with operations to ensure accurate accruals and financials Ensures compliance with Five Star accounting procedures Using Excel and other applications Maintain a thorough understanding of the general ledger This person will have to travel to their Atlanta, Athens, and Marietta locations frequently.

Additional functions:

Prepare and gather supporting documentation and explanations for monthly financial reporting, budgeting/forecast, and analysis for Senior Management Assists in development, implementation, and maintenance of accounting controls Assist in collecting data to determine costs of business activity as required Maintain balance sheet reconciliations Manage workload and prioritize job tasks in order to meet deadlines Comply with corporate policies and procedures Other duties as assigned

Qualifications Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from an accredited College or University Thorough knowledge and skills in general accounting Ability to work independently Strong analytical and problem solving abilities Well organized and able to accomplish a variety of tasks in an efficient and timely manner Excellent communication and organization skills Detail oriented, able to multitask and meet deadlines Familiarity with GAAP Familiarity with the MS Office Professional suite, particularly Excel, including complex formulas and calculations
