CONTROLLER
Delta Construction Partners is a national executive search firm for the nation's premier electrical, mechanical, and general contractors and industry professionals. Delta has been retained by a confidential client to conduct a search for the position of a Controller in Chattanooga, Tennessee . Contoller Compensation & Benefits Total compensation for the Chief Financial Officer in Chattanooga, TN is between $80,000 - $115,000. A competitive salary Bonus potential Medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance 401k Retirement Plan Profit sharing Controller Duties & Responsibilities Daily and monthly bank reconciliations and other monthly balance sheet reconciliations. Review weekly payroll and perform payroll. AP and AR oversight and provide weekly budgets for A/P. General ledger management and oversight, including preparing and posting journal entries. Perform calculation and remittance of 401K deferrals weekly and union dues monthly. Oversee WIP (Work-In-Process) job costing tracking and analysis. Monitor and forecast company cash flow. Assist accounting manager with month-end close as needed. Continuously monitor and refine financial policies, procedures and internal controls. Perform year-end accounting activities to provide to external auditors. Supervise and inspire payroll and account staff as business scales. Controller Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Minimum of 2+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, preferably within construction. Experience with a General Contractor, Electrical Contractor, or Mechanical Contractor strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of construction accounting, including job costing, WIP schedules, and percentage of completion accounting. Proven experience leading financial strategy in a growth-oriented environment. Strong understanding of cash flow management, forecasting, and financial modeling. Experience working with ERP/accounting systems commonly used in construction. Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills. Ability to operate at both a strategic and hands-on level. #BASE1
