PERMANENT ROLE
  • DIRECTOR
OF FINANANCE IN SAVANNAH, GA. FULL-SERVICE HOTEL EXPERIENCE A MUST.
The compensation is $135k to $150k with great benefits. Up to 20% annual bonus potential. Relocation package available. Primary Focus Areas (What You'll Own) Month-end reporting and close leadership (timely, accurate, complete) Owner / ownership reporting and month-end calls Finance team stabilization and support , especially coaching and backing up the ADOF Continuity of financial operations across billing, AP support processes, P&L/variance review, and issue resolution Key Responsibilities Month-End Close & Financial Reporting Lead and/or directly support all steps of month-end close: accruals, reconciliations, balance sheet review, and financial package readiness. Prepare and deliver clear P&L / variance explanations and support month-end review calls. Ensure reporting accuracy and completeness; escalate risks early and propose solutions. Ownership Partnership / Business Leadership Represent the property in ownership-facing discussions related to finance performance, reporting, and open items. Answer financial questions from ownership and leadership; provide confident, practical guidance. Identify urgent financial risks (cash, aging, discrepancies, controls) and drive quick resolution. Hands-On Finance Operations Support Provide "DOF-level" coverage across typical hotel finance responsibilities as needed (billing, P&L support, month-end tasks, controls oversight). Support AP workflows and approvals in coordination with the team and established processes. Maintain continuity of controls, documentation, and best practices during transition. Team Support & Coordination Partner closely with the ADOF (new in role) : provide structure, oversight, and mentorship to keep operations moving and deadlines met. Coordinate with a remote clerk supporting from another property (note: this person is not a direct report to the interim DOF). Team Structure / Working Relationships On-property finance leadership includes a new
ADOF . A
remote clerk provides support but also reports to another Director of Finance; you will collaborate with them but not directly manage them. You will interface with hotel leadership and ownership stakeholders as needed.
Systems / Technical
Environment Profit Sword (Profit Sage) — used for financial reporting ( preferred experience ). BlackLine — used for accounts payable/support processes ( familiarity preferred; deep expertise not required ). M3 (daily reporting) — client will confirm whether M3 or additional systems are in use. Single property Candidate Profile (What They're Looking For) Proven Director of Finance (or equivalent senior property finance leader) background with the ability to step in immediately.
Strong month-end close leadership:
billing, P&L, ownership calls, reporting cadence . Confident, polished communicator who can represent the property to ownership . Practical, solutions-oriented leader: hands-on + strategic .
Brand/system experience:
Marriott exposure is a plus (some Marriott involvement) but not required —strong candidates from other backgrounds will be considered.
