JOB DESCRIPTION

Controller Accounting Responsible for daily operations and supervision of Accounting Department, as well as provide management with relevant, timely financial data necessary for business decisions.

ESSENTIAL/PRIMARY DUTIES

1. Coordinates and administers an adequate plan for the control of operations. Such a plan should provide for profit planning, sales forecasts, expense budgets, accounts receivable, and capital investing. 2. Compares performance with operating plans and standards. Provides reports and interprets results of operations to management. 3. Responsible for preparation of an annual budget. 4. Responsible for month-end General Ledger closing with appropriate journal entries to close books. 5. Generates monthly and year-end financial statements. 6. Coordinates and works with outside CPA during audit periods. 7. Forecasts short range and long range cash requirements and obligations as a basis for maintaining adequate funds. 8. Monitors inventory levels and advises management regarding variances. 9. Creates and applies fiscal controls and procedures within the Accounting Department. 10.Oversees all department functions and duties. 11.Reviews overall expenses, conceives and implements cost saving programs. 12.Troubleshoots, revises, and implements improvements of computer applications to financial information. 13.Evaluates and revises staff duties and responsibilities. 14.Responsible for being present and on time for work each day.

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and minimum three years experience in Accounting.
• Knowledge of A/P, A/R, F/A, GAAP, various taxes, and computer applications. :
• Ability to operate computer system and printer.
• 10 key calculator by touch.
• Ability to type 40 wpm. :
• Excellent verbal and written skills needed. :
• 40 hours per week with additional overtime as needed. :
• Substantial sitting.
• Must occasionally lift, carry, and handle files, computer printouts, and binders weighing up to 30 pounds.
