Reporting to the Vice President of Finance, the Controller provides authoritative leadership over accounting policy and presentation, advises executive management on accounting implications of strategic decisions, and leads and develops a team of accounting staff responsible for all aspects of accounting services including program and grants accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, revenue and cash management, monthly close, financial reporting and analysis, audit, and tax. This role monitors compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Uniform Guidance (2 CFR 200), and applicable federal, state, and private grant requirements and ensures accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and effective fiscal stewardship of all agency and affiliate funds. The Controller must demonstrate an active commitment to CCH Mission and incorporate the four Core Values in all aspects of daily work.
EDUCATIONAL & WORK REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited four-year college or university and a minimum seven (7) years of experience in accounting, auditing, or internal controls. Professional certifications (CPA, CIA, CMA) strongly preferred. Experience supervising or leading accounting staff required. Experience utilizing accounting software (Sage Intacct, QuickBooks, MIP, or comparable software and/or ERP system) required. Experience supporting audits, including Single Audits, required.EMPLOYMENT CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS
