Midwest Industries is looking for an Accounting Supervisor/Assistant Controller to join our team. In this role, you'll work closely with company leadership while helping lead our accounting team. You'll gain experience in financial reporting, budgeting, business planning, AI initiatives, and process improvement while continuing to develop your leadership skills with the support of an experienced management team. Responsibilities Prepare and analyze financial reports. Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close. Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning. Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations to leadership. Help improve accounting processes, policies, and internal controls. Assist with audits, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance. Provide leadership, mentoring, and support to the accounting team. Partner with leaders across the organization to support business decisions and continuous improvement. What We're Looking For Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance preferred. Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. Understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel. Analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across departments. Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
