Job Description

Job Description Position Overview As a Director, Finance & Capital Markets, you will manage key lender/investor relationships, oversee complex financial models for operating and in construction renewable energy projects, support transaction closings/fundings, and support compliance with covenants in finance documents . You will work closely with other teams within Invenergy, including Renewable Development, Project Management, Asset Management, Accounting, Tax, and Legal. This position is located at our corporate headquarters in Chicago, Illinois. Responsibilities Oversee and manage project financial models to analyze project level performance and valuation of operating wind, solar, and storage projects of tax equity partnership restructurings, project debt refinancings, membership interest acquisitions, and asset divestitures Oversee junior team members on financial analysis and compliance with project finance requirements during project construction, term conversion, equity funding, and operations Manage and enhance key lender/investor relationships Interpret offtake agreements, shareholder and partnership agreements, equipment and service contracts, real estate documents, and other contracts to identify issues that may impact project level and corporate level financing Collaborate with company engineers, developers, asset managers, accounting, tax, legal, etc. professionals as well as third party consultants when managing financial transactions Support corporate finance activities, including cash management and compliance with corporate loan facilities Required Skills Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or engineering. MBA, CFA, or similar advanced degree preferred. Minimum 8+ years of relevant project finance or corporate finance experience. Energy experience preferred. Demonstrated experience and ability to develop financial analysis in complex project financing models in Excel. Ability to oversee, analyze, and direct junior finance staff in modeling financial transactions Awareness of key issues in the broader renewable energy industry and within Invenergy, as well as the potential impacts these trends may have on projects Proven ability to negotiate and interpret financing agreements and other project agreements. Understanding of tax incentivized financings, tax-equity investments, and partnership tax principles is preferred. Excellent discretion in handling confidential information and in communicating with third parties. Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to concisely present information to senior management and third-parties on complex financial transactions. Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to think quickly and implement creative solutions when problem solving. Proven ability to handle high-pressure, time-sensitive deadlines typical of a transaction-based environment, while managing multiple transactions and workstreams Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word. Base Pay $195,000.00 - 235,000.00
USD Annual Bonus:
30% - 40% The base pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for the position. Invenergy considers a number of factors when determining base pay offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education and skills. In addition to base pay, the total annual compensation package may also include eligibility to participate in our bonus program(s) which are designed to reward individual and company performance.
