Director of Finance

The Director of Finance will lead the finance organization and drive financial strategy, reporting, and controls to support business growth. This role oversees accounting, treasury, budgeting and forecasting, ERP optimization, and cross-functional financial partnershipsensuring accurate financial results, strong internal controls, and data-driven decision making for a manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Provide strategic leadership of the finance function including accounting, AR, AP, payroll, tax, and treasury; mentor and develop a high-performing finance team.

Own monthend and yearend close processes, financial statement preparation, consolidation, and compliance with GAAP.

Develop and manage annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, longrange financial plans, and scenario analysis to support business objectives.

Drive ERP selection, implementation, and continuous improvement projects in partnership with IT to improve process efficiency, controls, and reporting.

Design, implement and monitor internal controls and SOXcompliant processes; coordinate external audits and tax filings.

Deliver timely management and board-level financial reporting and dashboards using Excel and Power BI to provide actionable insights and KPIs.

Manage working capital, cash flow forecasting, and banking relationships to optimize liquidity and financing strategies.

Partner with manufacturing, operations, procurement, and sales to implement cost accounting, margin analysis and product costing initiatives that improve profitability.

Lead process improvements for AP and AR operations, including automation and policy updates to reduce cycle times and risk.

Support M&A, capital projects and business cases by providing financial analysis, due diligence and integration planning. Qualifications Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) strongly preferred.

10+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role; manufacturing industry experience highly preferred.

Proven experience leading ERP implementations, upgrades, or major system improvements and partnering with IT.

Handson expertise in AR, AP, monthend close, financial reporting, budgeting and cost accounting.

Advanced Excel skills and experience building financial models and management reports; strong working knowledge of Power BI or similar BI tools.

Demonstrated experience managing audits, compliance, internal controls and SOX requirements.

Strong analytical, presentation and communication skills with the ability to translate financial data into business insights.

Track record of leading change, driving process automation, and improving finance operations performance. Benefits Health
