full-time Located in Skokie, IL - 5 days on site Perm/Direct Hire Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 5+ years in construction or commercial general contracting Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, construction job costing, WIP reporting, and revenue recognition Experience with construction ERP systems such as Premier, Sage 300 CRE, or comparable platforms Demonstrated leadership and team management skills Ability to handle multiple deadlines with sound judgment and effective communication Responsibilities Lead all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and financial reporting in compliance with

Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements and reports Manage budgets, forecasts, and analyze financial trends; communicate variances and actionable insights to leadership Manage cash flows, banking relationships, debt compliance, and construction draws Maintain internal controls, safeguard assets, and oversee internal/external audit processes Manage, develop, and evaluate accounting staff; foster a collaborative team environment Improve workflows, software integrations, data quality, and reporting dashboards for construction accounting systems Develop scalable policies, KPI's, and support growth initiatives
