SAP ERP Full Job Description Position Summary:
ProCraft Cabinetry in Chicago is seeking a Controller to oversee all accounting and financial operations . This leadership role is essential to our daily management, ensuring financial accuracy, federal and state compliance, and effective data analysis. Key responsibilities include monthly reconciliations, auditing, performance monitoring, and report preparation. The ideal candidate will work closely with production, supply chain, and plant management to ensure accurate reporting and to translate operational performance into clear financial results.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Financial Management and Strategy:
Develop and monitor key business performance metrics to assist Management with financial decisions and cash management. Manage daily, weekly, and monthly cash flow, including forecasting and special projects. Assist the General Manager or Owner in preparing annual budgets and financial forecasts in coordination with various departments. Collect, analyze, and interpret data to quantify financial opportunities and risks. Be able to work independently with term customers and construction projects, ensuring those to finish before the deadline.
Accounting Operations and Oversight:
Ensure accurate recording and analysis of revenues, expenses, and balance sheet accounts. Manage journal entries and invoices and reconcile accounts for monthly or banker's closings. Prepare payroll, taxes, and other financial requirements on a weekly, monthly, and yearly basis. Maintain organized, accurate, and complete electronic and hard-copy accounting records. Develop proficiency in A/R and A/P processes to provide backup support as needed. Be familiar with the SAP environment and other related accounting setups to finalize the tasks.
Compliance, Audit, and Reporting:
Perform audits to ensure adherence to standard requirements. Oversee regulatory reporting, including corporate, sales, and payroll taxes, business registrations, loan compliance, and insurance coverages. Act as a liaison between ProCraft and external partners, including bankers, legal counsel, and other facilities. Prepare annual reports of office activities and other required financial and management reports.
Process Improvement and Leadership:
Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team to foster a culture of collaboration and accountability. Create new processes and document policies, procedures, and workflows to improve financial efficiency. Review accounting processes for internal support and customer service, making recommendations for best practices. Ensure procedures are in place to safeguard company assets and verify that policies are consistently followed.
Communication and Administration:
Coordinate with business executives regarding operational needs and accounting issues. Execute special projects as assigned by management. Utilize excellent organizational and time management skills to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
Required Education, Skills, Abilities, and Experience:
Bachelor's or Master's degree (or equivalent) in Accounting or Finance. CPA preferred. 5-10 years of experience in financial, accounting, or related field. Proficiency in MS Office, Magento, QuickBooks, and SAP environment Working knowledge of federal, state, and local tax compliance regulations and reporting requirements. Ability to read and speak English. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and complete tasks with minimum supervision. Ability to communicate effectively within a team environment.
Work Schedule:
8-hour shift. Monday
  • Friday, Full
  • Time. 8:00 AM
  • 5:00 PM.
