Automotive / Dealership Finance & Insurance (F&I) Job Overview A reputable automotive dealership is seeking an experienced Finance Director (F&I Director) to lead and grow our finance department. We are looking for a results-driven leader with strong automotive finance experience, lender relationships, and team management skills. At our dealership, our people are our greatest asset. Key Responsibilities Lead, staff, and train the Finance & Insurance (F&I) team to maximize performance and compliance Analyze sales history, market trends, and finance reports to develop strategies that increase profitability Structure and review automotive finance deals in accordance with lender and dealership guidelines Conduct credit interviews and prepare credit applications as needed Analyze credit reports and effectively identify conventional, subprime, and special finance deals Maintain strong relationships with existing lenders and generate new lender partnerships Ensure all customer information is handled with strict confidentiality and compliance standards Review daily DOC logs and coach team members on areas of improvement Train administrative staff on assembling funding packages accurately and efficiently Serve as liaison between the finance department and sales, accounting, and management teams Monitor department expenses and ensure adherence to budget requirements Recommend and approve department expenditures and process improvements Maintain current inventory logs and provide recommendations to management Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership Qualifications & Requirements Minimum 5 years of automotive finance or automotive sales experience Proven leadership experience managing an F&I or finance team Strong knowledge of dealership finance and insurance procedures College degree preferred or equivalent industry experience Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office , dealership software, and internet applications Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong negotiation, presentation, and customer service skills Professional appearance and ethical work standards Valid driver's license Benefits & Compensation Competitive compensation package Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan Supplemental Insurance Options Paid Vacation Time Long-term career growth opportunities within the dealership Equal Opportunity Employer We are an equal opportunity employer and do not tolerate discrimination or harassment of any kind.
