Job Description
We are a well-established local automotive dealership seeking an experienced Comptroller to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated accounting and finance professional looking for a long-term position with a successful, community-focused dealership. The ideal candidate will have a strong finance and/or accounting background, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to oversee the financial operations of a busy automotive dealership. Previous automotive dealership accounting experience is preferred, but we are willing to consider candidates with strong accounting or financial management experience in other industries. Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day accounting and financial operations Prepare and review monthly financial statements and reports Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable Complete bank and general ledger reconciliations Monitor cash flow and dealership financial performance Assist with budgeting and financial planning Maintain accurate financial records and internal controls Ensure compliance with applicable accounting practices and dealership requirements Work closely with ownership and management Coordinate with outside accountants, financial institutions, and other business partners as needed Qualifications Strong background in accounting, finance, or business management Automotive dealership accounting experience is a plus Knowledge of general ledger accounting, financial statements, and reconciliations Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to handle confidential financial information professionally Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Comfortable working independently while also being part of a team What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Paid holidays Paid vacation Full-time, stable employment Supportive, team-oriented work environment Opportunity to work with an established local automotive dealership Long-term career opportunity for the right candidate If you are an experienced accounting or finance professional who is dependable, detail-oriented, and ready to take an important role within our dealership, we would love to hear from you!
