Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Finance Director to lead all areas of financial management for the Charter Casting business. This role is responsible for overseeing financial reporting, forecasting, analysis, internal controls, and compliance with corporate policies and procedures. The Finance Director will serve as a key business partner to leadership, providing financial insight that supports operational performance, profitability, and long-term growth initiatives in a manufacturing environment. This position requires a collaborative leader with strong analytical capabilities, deep financial expertise, and the ability to lead and develop a high-performing finance team while supporting both domestic and international business growth. Location Milwaukee, WI (strongly preferred) Woodstock, IL or Shawano, WI also considered What You'll Do Prepare annual business plans, financial forecasts, budgets, and support strategic planning and deployment processes. Support efforts to achieve working capital targets and assist in resolving issues related to inventory, accounts receivable, and accounts payable. Provide timely reporting of financial results and activities, including analysis of performance variances and trends. Collect and report data on key operational variables and maintain accounting data necessary for cost allocation and cost of quality analysis. Deliver financial analyses and business insight to support decision-making and communicate the impact of decisions on risk, profitability, and cash flow. Identify cost of quality issues related to products, processes, and quality systems and initiate actions to prevent nonconformities. Recommend and support solutions and continuous improvements in product and process quality. Assist in improving profitability through in-depth operational analysis and identification of areas of weakness and opportunity. Support corporate financial requirements including tax, audit, financial close, and reporting activities. Ensure accounting and financial records are properly maintained and internal controls are operating effectively. Provide finance and accounting support for Continuous Improvement initiatives. Maintain standard cost systems and manufacturing rates. Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team. Follow Environmental, Quality, and Safety Management System procedures and requirements. Meet essential job requirements with or without reasonable accommodation. What You'll Need Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Eight or more years of financial experience. Three or more years of supervisory experience. Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment. Significant experience in cost accounting, financial forecasting, and capital investment decision-making within a manufacturing environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present effectively and exercise tact and discretion. Strong internal and external customer focus. Advanced analytical skills with the ability to gather and interpret data from multiple sources. Ability to take initiative and work independently. Proficiency with advanced Microsoft Office applications. Willingness to travel as required. Preferred Qualifications Master of Business Administration (MBA). CPA certification or demonstrated experience with financial reporting and US GAAP. Experience in manufacturing industries. Advanced financial analysis capabilities. Strong strategic skills, comfort operating in ambiguous environments, and experience leading Financial Planning & Analysis functions. Experience evaluating potential mergers and acquisitions. International business experience; regional experience may be specified at time of posting. Formal team training with demonstrated success leading teams. Continuous Improvement, Six Sigma, and/or Lean manufacturing experience. Experience with Oracle and Hyperion/OBIEE. The annual hiring range for this position is: $168,900-$211,100. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will depend on various factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, experience, and qualifications. Compensation decisions are tailored to the unique circumstances of each position and candidate.
