Full-Time | 100% Onsite About the Opportunity Our client, a well-established manufacturing company in the Niles, Mi area, is seeking an experienced Controller to lead the accounting and finance function. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for financial reporting, month-end close, budgeting, cost accounting, cash management, and partnering with operations to support business decisions. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a collaborative manufacturing environment and wants to make a meaningful impact. Responsibilities Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed assets. Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes. Prepare accurate financial statements and management reports. Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and cash flow. Analyze manufacturing costs, inventory, variances, and profitability. Maintain and strengthen internal controls and accounting procedures. Coordinate annual audits and support tax compliance activities. Partner with operations and executive leadership to improve financial performance and operational efficiencies. Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team. Support ERP enhancements and process improvement initiatives. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or CMA preferred). 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities. Manufacturing accounting experience required. Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory, and financial reporting. Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
