Job Summary Responsible for the internal control accounting process, Warehouse, Cage and Count Room. Ensures compliance with existing and established company reporting policies and procedures and with the regulations and mandates of all governing bodies, both internal and external to the organization. Directly responsible for Financial Accounting, Revenue Audit, Cost Control, Cage, Count Room, Marine Ops, Facilities, and Warehouse. How You Will Create the Extraordinary Reports directly to the SVP & GM and is responsible for the accuracy and efficiency in the preparation of all Financial Statements. Maintains and controls all financial records, reports and files to ensure their confidentiality and safekeeping. Ensures that all Financial Accounting, Revenue Audit, Cost Control, Cage and Count Room employees are trained to perform their duties in an efficient and effective manner. Assists in the timely preparation and interpretation of financial information for the property, including financial statements, budgets, forecasts, daily financial information and other financial data, after obtaining input from Operating Management as required. Ensure compliance with the established internal controls required to safeguard the property assets and to safeguard its integrity utilizing the Company guidelines. Responsible for monitoring expenses against a monthly operating budget as well as creating an annual departmental operating budget. Responsible for the annual company audit during both interim and final audit work. Provides timely and accurate support to all operating departments as needed. Reviews the work of staff to assure that duties assigned are performed in compliance with Company guidelines. Responsible for proactively identifying and implementing process improvements to streamline and gain accuracy. Responsible for the development of all direct reports. Support and maintain Horseshoe policy and procedures. Promote outstanding guest relations. Directly supervises financial accounting, revenue audit, Marine Ops, Facilities, and Warehouse Supervisor, and indirectly responsible for those departments. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the company's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, training, selecting and adjusting rates of pay and hours of work, directing the work of employees, maintaining production, appraising employees' productivity and efficiency for purposes of recommending promotions or other changes (evaluations), handling employees' grievances and complaints, disciplining employees, planning work, providing for safety and security, and monitoring or implementing legal compliance matters. Perform all other duties as assigned. What You Will Need Must be 21 years of age or older Proficient in English verbal and written BA/BS in Accounting / Finance (or related field) required. Specific knowledge of all phases of the casino accounting cycle. Includes professional appearance and impeccable integrity and excellent problem-solving skills. Strong analytical skills Minimum ten (10) years accounting and supervisory experience. Strong computer skills. Ability to lead and monitor multiple projects Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills. Strong organization skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret all types of graphs. Must be able to work varying shifts including holidays, nights, and weekends. Ability to work with confidential data required. Must qualify for, obtain, and maintain a gaming license from the Indiana Gaming Commission, if applicable. Access to the vessel is required.

Must be able to bend, reach, stoop, twist, stretch, and crouch repeatedly. Must be able to lift and carry objects up to 25 lbs. Must able to stand/walk throughout your scheduled shift. Must be able to work while in a seated position. Must be able to work in a loud/smoky environment. Must be able to work in area with hot/cold temperatures. Must be able to operate basic office equipment.
