- Rapidly growing, privately held manufacturing company (~$50M revenue) with strong expansion trajectory and plans to scale operations further
- Seeking a hands-on Controller to partner closely with the CFO and take ownership of day-to-day accounting operations
Core Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute the monthly close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger activity
- Prepare and support financial reporting and maintain strong balance sheet discipline
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and inventory accounting
- Manage cost accounting processes, partnering with operations in a manufacturing environment
- Support audit and tax reporting activities, working alongside external partners and leadership
- Drive process improvements and build scalable accounting infrastructure as the company grows
- Assist with ERP system utilization (Microsoft D365 Business Central) and accounting workflows
- Help hire, train, and develop future accounting team members as the function expands
What They're Looking For:
- Background in manufacturing, inventory, or cost accounting strongly preferred
- Proven experience with hands-on accounting (not purely oversight or FP&A-focused)
- Experience in a small or mid-sized company environment where adaptability is key
- Strong general ledger and close process expertise
- Comfortable working in a lean, high-growth environment with evolving processes
Ideal Profile:
- Accounting Manager ready to step into a Controller role OR
- Controller who prefers a hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves environment
