Controller About the
Company:
We are a 3rd generation construction company in our 46th year of business specializing in Custom built homes. Our company's focus is customer satisfaction that we achieve through a team effort. The position reports to the President. Responsibilities to include (but not limited to)
  • Supervise, monitor, and evaluate all weekly accounting activities. Responsible for enforcing proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
  • Manage cash flow, including reviewing payments to vendors, accounts receivable and collections
  • Act as a liaison between customer and financial institution
  • Compile and invoice customers
  • Responsible for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll and General Ledger
  • Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Coordinate yearly audits
  • Prepare and present reports including financial reports, job margins, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Oversee and help employees to navigate benefit plans and answer payroll questions.
Position Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred with at least 5 years' experience with handling and supporting GAAP.
  • Detail oriented and organized
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in QuickBooks online or similar accounting software
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Customer Oriented
  • Self-motivated and a team player
  • Honest, trustworthy, dependable, respectful and a high degree of integrity
  • Back ground in residential construction a plus
Pay:
$70,000
