full-time Plant Controller A multi-billion-dollar manufacturing company is seeking a Plant Controller for its operation in the Wichita, KS area . This is a highly visible plant finance role that will partner directly with the Plant Manager and operations leadership team to provide financial analysis, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and decision support. The Controller will play an important role in understanding manufacturing performance, identifying cost improvement opportunities, and providing the financial insight needed to support operational and strategic decisions. Experience working within SAP is highly preferred , particularly within a manufacturing finance or accounting environment. Key Responsibilities Partner with the Plant Manager and Plant Operations team on financial analysis, reporting, and decision support Develop financial plans and actions to support operational targets and strategic objectives Analyze manufacturing variances and identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve financial performance Support month-end and year-end closing activities and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting Lead plant budgeting and forecasting activities, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow planning Utilize SAP and financial reporting tools to analyze plant performance, costs, inventory, and financial results Monitor internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures Oversee financial aspects of physical inventory and ensure accuracy of reported inventory results Manage fixed asset analysis and fixed asset inventory Manage and review standard cost calculations for new products Analyze cost variances related to material consumption, material pricing, freight, labor, and scrap Support capital expenditure requests, including financial analysis, management summaries, and tracking of capital spending Assist with special projects and financial initiatives across the plant Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field 5+ years of finance, accounting, or financial analysis experience in a manufacturing environment SAP experience strongly preferred Strong understanding of manufacturing finance and accounting fundamentals Experience with standard costing and manufacturing variance analysis Understanding of GAAP accounting Experience with budgeting, forecasting, month-end close, and financial reporting Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and meet deadlines This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced manufacturing finance professional with SAP experience interested in a Controller position with a large, established manufacturing organization in the Wichita, KS area .
