Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Controller to join our team in Lexington, Kentucky. This role is integral in managing and overseeing the organization's financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance across all accounting functions. The ideal candidate will bring extensive accounting expertise and leadership capabilities to support both internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the entire accounting cycle, including general ledger management, journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports, such as trial balances, aging receivables, and customized financial analyses.
  • Manage and reconcile intercompany transactions, including transfers and financial adjustments.
  • Supervise accounts payable, payroll processing, and payroll tax filings through direct oversight of one team member.
  • Handle treasury functions such as cash management, payments, and maintaining strong banking relationships.
  • Administer insurance programs, 401(k) plans, investment reporting, and ensure compliance with related regulations.
  • Lead the coordination of the annual audit process with external auditing firms, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
  • Maintain adherence to accounting policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide timely financial insights and analyses to support management and the parent organization.
  • Mentor and manage one accounting team member while fostering collaboration with auditors, banks, and external partners.
