Job Description
Job Summary Journeyman level carpenter wanted. We do a bit of everything from new construction to remodel, to historic renovation. We're looking for skills including finish carpentry, framing, cabinet install, and overall jobsite experience. We are fully prepared to train for new skillsets based on ability. While we are not a painting contractor, to be successful, a candidate must also be able to paint well, as there is a lot of painting for about 12 weeks of the year. We work in the Lexington area the vast majority of the time, however, we do have projects in Northern Kentucky and work there. Finally, we occasionally have short projects in Florida and Maine, which most of our employees look at as working vacations. We are a seriously drug free work environment. Responsibilities and Qualifications Perform detailed trim carpentry, frame carpentry, and cabinetry installation with precision and attention to detail. Painting skills, knowledge of paint types and finishes, ability to perform, at a minimum, workmanlike painting at near-production levels (only a few weeks a year) Utilize hand tools and power tools for cutting, shaping, and assembling materials. Install fixtures including doors, siding, flooring, tiles, moldings, and other finishing elements. Conduct surface preparation tasks such as sanding, caulking, hole filling Assist with concrete forming, rebar installation, masonry work, and roofing repairs. Help maintain our portfolio of rental properties with maintenance and upkeep. Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials efficiently throughout each project phase. Good communication skills (in English) and focus, with the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately.
Pay:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hourBenefits:
