Job Description:
Ready to use your multi-disciplined operational skills to help make cities better? Block by Block is seeking a Regional Vice President to provide support to our customer base throughout the United States. In this role the selected candidate will have a tremendous number of interactions with our existing customers to help maintain our extremely high retention rate, along with overseeing the local operations of each of the Cleaning/Safety/Hospitality/Outreach programs within the Mid-Atlantic region.
Specific job duties include:
Industry Experience :
Experience in multi-unit leadership particularly in service and hospitality related industries. Experience in or working with place management organizations (BIDs, CBDs, SIDs, Park Conservancies, etc.). Experience in being part of or working with or for municipal governments or governmental organizations. Experience working in an organizational management capacity with a focus on team development, process improvement, financial management and direct customer support.
TECHNOLOGICAL
- Must be comfortable and proficient with a wide variety of MS Windows based products, but particularly proficient in the basic MS Office suite of products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PPT, TEAMS), along with Block by Block's SMART System (training provided on both).
Essential Functions:
Oversees quality assurance to existing programs to ensure customer expectations for delivery of services are not only met but are exceeded. Works and communicates continually with customers to ensure local operations are meeting expectations, and finds new ways to enhance the value of services provided to the local district by suggesting new practices and methods. Closely monitors 16 unique Ambassador programs. Works with our Corporate Support Center to ensure the delivery of back-office support to each of our programs. Creates and maintains budgets related to local operations. Requires up to approximately 70% travel to locations under their supervision. Applies Block by Block standard concepts, processes, practices, and policies to daily operations to address needs and concerns of managers and customers. Provides daily guidance and direction for Operations Managers within the region. Hires, Trains, coaches, develops and mentors Operations Managers in their assigned region. Manages region's labor costs and expenses. Tracks statistics/outcomes and creates written reports. Maintains effective communication with a variety of stakeholders, including subordinates, Block by Block leadership, staff members, and customers. Education:
High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's/Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Experience:
At least 10 years of hands-on senior management experience preferred. Candidates will be evaluated based on a mix of education and relevant experience.

Must be competent to make decisions based on available information.
Communication:
Excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to communicate effectively at all levels. Must be able to speak, read, and write English to create reports
Flexible Schedule:
Ability to travel and work weekends to visit regional locations during multiple shifts as needed.
Technological Skills:
