Compensation:

$45-65 per hour LHH Recruitment Solutions is supporting a client of ours located in Southfield, MI, in their search for an Assistant Controller to support a critical, long-term special project. This is a hands-on, fully on-site contract role ideal for an experienced accounting professional who can step in quickly and provide immediate impact.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the Controller with day-to-day accounting operations and project-based initiatives Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting Review and maintain balance sheet accounts and supporting schedules Support internal controls, process documentation, and audit-related requests Provide oversight and guidance to accounting staff as needed Partner cross-functionally to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and project deliverables

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (required) Prior experience in an Assistant Controller, Senior Accountant, or similar role Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting Experience supporting project-based or transitional accounting initiatives Ability to work fully on-site and commit to an 8+ month contract engagement This opportunity offers competitive hourly compensation and the chance to contribute meaningfully to a high-priority accounting project.

Pay Details:
