Key Responsibilities:
Lead financial and accounting operations through robust systems, procedures, and internal controls Ensure compliance with GAAP and federal regulations; support successful audits Direct budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis aligned with organizational goals Prepare monthly financial statements and oversee year-end closing procedures Manage cash flow, contracts, billing, and fund management processes Partner with senior leadership to develop budgets, cost plans, and revenue forecasts Mentor and supervise the finance team to foster a positive and productive workplace Develop and implement purchasing policies, credit card procedures, and fleet management strategies
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting; advanced degrees or certifications are a plus 5-7 years of experience in healthcare, human services, or professional services sectors Proficiency with accounting systems (preferably Dynamics SL), excellent at Excel, and report writing tools Strong knowledge of non-profit accounting, GAAP, A-133 compliance, and cost accounting Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills Demonstrated leadership in team management and process improvement initiatives Familiarity with government contracting processes and cost reporting is highly desirable
