Our client is seeking a hands-on Controller to oversee accounting and financial operations for a privately held group consisting of fuel distribution businesses, commercial real estate holdings, and investment entities. This role will manage day-to-day accounting, reporting, banking relationships, and financial records while serving as a key business partner to ownership. Expereince in QuickBooks and Yardi software experience is highly preferred. Key Responsibilities of the position may includeManaging accounting for multiple entities, including fuel distribution, commercial real estate, and investments.

Maintaining general ledger, reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting.

Preparing monthly reporting packages for ownership and external CPA firm.

Handling rent collections, lease administration, tenant billings, and CAM reconciliations.

Coordinating with banks, lenders, real estate partners, attorneys, and outside advisors.

Overseeing cash management, debt schedules, and banking activities.

Preparing and filing motor fuel tax returns for multiple states.

Monitoring fuel inventory, fuel margins, and related accounting activities.

Tracking and accounting for futures contracts and hedging transactions.

Ensuring accurate accounting records and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
