Job Description

KBW Financial Staffing is partnered with a well-established and growing manufacturing organization seeking a hands-on Controller to lead its accounting and finance function. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting leader who enjoys balancing strategic financial leadership with day-to-day accounting operations. The Controller will work closely with executive leadership, helping drive financial performance, operational efficiency, and continued growth. The ideal candidate is someone who is collaborative, adaptable, and willing to roll up their sleeves in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Lead all day-to-day accounting and financial operations. Prepare accurate monthly financial statements for internal leadership and external reporting. Develop, maintain, and analyze annual budgets, forecasts, and financial performance. Manage, mentor, and develop the accounting team while strengthening accounting procedures and internal controls. Partner with executive leadership by providing financial analysis and operational reporting to support business decisions. Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive continuous process improvements. Prepare capital expenditure plans and perform return-on-investment (ROI) analyses. Develop and maintain KPI dashboards and operational reporting tools. Establish and monitor credit policies and financial risk management initiatives. Oversee the financial administration and optimization of the company's ERP system. Support various HR-related functions, including payroll oversight, employee onboarding and offboarding, benefits administration, recruiting support, and PTO management. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field. Minimum of four years of experience as a Controller or Assistant Controller. Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, FP&A, and cost accounting. Manufacturing experience is highly preferred. Cost accounting experience is required. Experience working within ERP systems Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
