full-time About the job Controller Lead the Financial Strategy Behind a Growing Professional Services Organization Our client is seeking a strategic and operational finance executive to serve as its senior financial leader. This individual will oversee the organization's financial health while partnering closely with executive leadership to improve visibility, support growth initiatives, and drive business performance. This position blends high-level strategic planning with hands-on financial leadership and offers the opportunity to influence key business decisions across the organization. What You'll Influence Executive Partnership Serve as a key advisor to senior leadership on financial performance and business strategy. Provide actionable insights that support growth, profitability, and operational decision-making. Deliver financial analysis that enables leadership to evaluate investments, expansion initiatives, and resource allocation. Identify emerging risks and opportunities while developing recommendations to improve results. Business Performance & Analytics Design meaningful reporting that helps leaders understand performance trends and key drivers. Develop forecasting models and financial metrics that support informed decision-making. Create executive-level dashboards focused on revenue generation, margins, cash flow, productivity, and overall business performance. Translate financial data into clear recommendations for both financial and non-financial stakeholders. Finance Operations Lead the day-to-day finance and accounting functions, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and accountability. Oversee revenue cycle activities, collections, vendor payments, cash management, and general accounting operations. Direct month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes. Ensure timely preparation of financial statements and management reporting. Building Scalable Infrastructure Assess current processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Strengthen controls, policies, and procedures that support organizational growth. Partner with leadership on technology initiatives that improve reporting, automation, and financial visibility. Help establish a finance function capable of supporting future expansion. Team Leadership Mentor and develop accounting and finance professionals. Create an environment focused on collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Establish clear expectations, performance standards, and professional development opportunities. What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. Progressive leadership experience within accounting or finance. Background supporting complex, professional service-based organizations. Strong understanding of financial reporting, planning, forecasting, and cash flow management. Demonstrated success improving processes, reporting capabilities, and internal controls. Ability to communicate financial information effectively to executive leadership. Experience leading and developing teams. Highly Desirable CPA Experience working in partner-led, shareholder-led, or professional services environments. Exposure to financial system implementations, process redesign initiatives, and business intelligence reporting tools.
