•$200,000 base salary + bonus Our client near the Laurel, MD area is seeking a strategic, hands-on Director of Finance to lead accounting and finance operations for a growing government contractor. This highly visible leadership role will oversee financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, audits, compliance, payroll, and team leadership while partnering closely with the CFO and executive management to support business growth. Director of Finance Key Responsibilities Lead all accounting and finance functions, including monthly close, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and financial analysis. Manage and mentor accounting, finance, payroll, and related administrative personnel. Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to executive leadership. Develop annual budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial plans. Oversee revenue recognition, billing, and contract accounting for government contracts. Support proposal pricing, business development initiatives, and strategic growth opportunities. Ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, DCAA, CAS, and other government contracting regulations. Coordinate external audits, tax filings, 401(k) audits, and regulatory reporting requirements. Manage cash flow forecasting and provide recommendations to support business objectives. Partner with operations and leadership teams to improve processes, controls, and overall business performance.
