This is a highly visible Plant Controller role responsible for driving cost accuracy, operational performance, and financial transparency across the plant network. This leader will serve as a true business partner to Operations—owning plant-level financials while influencing strategic decisions that improve efficiency, margins, and scalability. Plant Controller Key Responsibilities Own full P& L responsibility across multiple manufacturing sites Lead and develop plant accounting teams Drive consistency in financial processes, reporting, and controls across all locations Partner with Plant Managers and Operations leadership to improve plant performance and profitability Analyze and report on key manufacturing metrics, including: PPV (Purchase Price Variance) Labor and overhead absorption Standard vs. actual costing Scrap, yield, and efficiency metrics Oversee monthly close process for all plants, ensuring accuracy and timeliness Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning for plant operations Identify cost savings opportunities and drive continuous improvement initiatives Support capital investment decisions through ROI and payback analysis Ensure strong internal controls and compliance with company policies Collaborate cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Procurement, and Corporate Finance For immediate consideration call Jimmy Tunney at 517-657-8054 Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or MBA preferred) 5+ years of progressive experience with some exposure to manufacturing industry Strong leadership experience managing and developing teams Hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves mentality with a continuous improvement mindset Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
