We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller to guide the organization's accounting function and provide dependable financial leadership. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, strengthening control processes, and delivering timely reporting that supports sound business decisions. The position also partners closely with leadership on planning, performance analysis, and long-term financial strategy.

Responsibilities:

Direct the full accounting cycle, including ledger oversight, payables, receivables, payroll coordination, and revenue-related financial activities. Lead monthly and annual close activities by managing timelines, reviewing entries, and confirming account reconciliations are complete and accurate. Produce periodic financial statements and management reports that align with applicable U.S. accounting standards and organizational reporting needs. Establish and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls designed to safeguard assets and support regulatory compliance. Serve as the primary contact for external auditors, tax professionals, and other financial advisors during audits, filings, and compliance reviews. Partner with department leaders to prepare annual budgets, update forecasts, evaluate performance trends, and explain key variances. Supervise, coach, and develop accounting staff while promoting accountability, process consistency, and continuous improvement across the team. Translate financial results into clear recommendations and insights that help executive leadership make informed operational and strategic decisions. 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibility within a controller or senior accounting management environment. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; an advanced degree is valued. Strong command of month-end close, year-end close, general ledger management, and journal entry review. Demonstrated experience with budgeting, forecasting, internal controls, financial audits, and annual tax coordination. Working knowledge of U.S. accounting principles and the preparation of accurate financial statements. Proficiency with enterprise accounting systems and advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities; experience with McLeod is preferred but not required. Proven people management, leadership, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information to non-financial audiences.
