Job Description

Are you a numbers-driven problem solver who also thrives in fast-paced, people-centered environments? Flatrock is looking for a Finance Director who can balance financial accuracy with big-picture thinking - someone who's ready to lead, collaborate, and make a real impact behind the scenes of life-changing care.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Financial Leadership & Oversight Lead and oversee the Finance Department, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency Prepare monthly financial statements , budget reports, and variance analyses Support month-end and year-end close processes Review AR/AP aging reports and resolve outstanding issues Assist with annual audits and prepare reports for government agencies Conduct regular financial audits across all homes Billing & Compliance Partner with CMH billing departments to resolve authorization issues, rate breakdowns, and monthly billing concerns Perform quarterly billing audits to ensure compliance and accuracy Communicate financial or billing issues to executive leadership (Co-CEO's and Program Directors) Operations & Systems Management Manage ADP users (setup, updates, maintenance, archiving) Initiate wire transfers for payroll and operational expenses as needed Audit timekeeping for finance staff to ensure accuracy Utilize systems like FIN and other communication tools effectively Project Management & Process Improvement Lead projects from start to finish (PTO structures, policy creation/updates, system changes) Train staff on new policies, procedures, and software updates Collaborate with CPA partners to ensure strong financial strategy and long-term success Leadership & Collaboration Maintain strong, professional relationships with counties, leadership, and internal teams Support and guide accounting staff to resolve issues and improve workflows
Qualifications:
