Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Controller to oversee all accounting operations and financial reporting for our multi-property affordable housing portfolio. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented and hands-on professional who can manage day-to-day accounting while providing strategic financial insight to leadership. Responsibilities Oversee all accounting functions including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis across multiple properties Ensure compliance with GAAP, HUD, MSHDA, LIHTC, HOME, RD and company policies Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting procedures Coordinate audits and work with external accountants and tax professionals Supervise and develop accounting staff Partner with property managers to support financial performance and reporting Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; CPA preferred 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership Experience in property management or real estate accounting strongly preferred Experience with HUD, MSHDA and RD strongly preferred Strong knowledge of financial reporting and internal controls Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills Pay & Benefits Salary starting at $110,000, based on experience Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and holidays Opportunities for advancement within a growing company Schedule Monday to Friday Full-time, on-site in
