Responsibilities:
JOB SUMMARY
The Treasurer of the credit union is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the balance sheet of the organization specifically related to Investments, Liquidity, ALLL and Capital. This job description describes the scope of responsibility and essential functions of this position but should not be considered an all-inclusive listing of work requirements.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Accounting for and managing ALLL calculations both on and off-balance sheet Management of liquidity including maintaining adequate cash flow to enable the credit union to operate efficiently Management of stress testing including liquidity, capital and IRR/EVE back testing Management of loan sales on the secondary market to ensure the Credit Union is maximizing profits Management of MSR portfolio Management of Hedging for MSR portfolio and loan pipeline Advising management on financial matters, including investment decisions. Maintain relationships with investors and brokers to identify and develop new opportunities. Utilize economic data and market trends to identify and mitigate risk Ensuring the safekeeping and security of all investments Preparing and monitoring the annual budget for ALLL and investments according to the approved business plan Management of liquidity including maintaining adequate cash flow to enable the credit union to operate efficiently Management of stress testing including liquidity, capital and IRR/EVE back testing Ensuring proper recording and compliance of financial transactions for investments to the credit union's bank account. Collaborating with accountants and auditors to ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. Maintain updated detailed job procedures, complete required annual training, and remain current on all regulatory requirements

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, strongly preferred Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license preferred At least five years of experience in a financial service organization's accounting, finance or treasury department Ability to maintain confidentiality Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos Ability to multi-task, work in a fast paced, changing environment and maintain a commitment to accuracy and timeliness Excellent communication skills Ability to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations to members, team leader, and other team members of the organization Ability to operate in a team environment to accomplish shared goals Ability to effectively manage time as related to tasks Strong attention to detail
