Controller R.W. Fernstrum & Company R.W. Fernstrum & Company, an International Manufacturing company, est. in 1949, offers a Controller position due to the upcoming retirement of its current financial leader. The company has 24 representatives across 6 continents. Focused on marine heat exchange, this four-generation family-owned business has built a respected reputation throughout the industry for exceptional quality and service worldwide. Located in Menominee, MI, the company has 41 employees and a family-focused culture.
Position Summary:
A. Supervision and performance of all necessary accounting functions. B. Development and management of financial planning and forecasting. C. Management of company reception, A/P, A/R, shipping and IT. D. Management and execution of all human resources functions. E. Key participant on the executive leadership team.Required Qualifications:
- Strong expertise in Financial Planning and Finance to develop and execute financial strategies effectively. Skill and comfort in reporting financial performance to owners.
- Proficiency in preparing, analyzing, and managing Financial Statements and Financial Reporting.
- 5+ years of experience in financial management.
- Strong interpersonal skills and proven track record in building and maintaining work-related relationships with all levels of people.
- Strong organizational and leadership acumen.
- Proven ability to manage all financial aspects of a manufacturing organization and work collaboratively with executive leadership.
- Strong command of the English language.
- Excellent communication skills
- both written and verbal.
- Located within commuting distance of Menominee, Michigan, United States.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Comprehensive understanding of Human Resource management concepts, methodologies and practices, and basic legalities pertaining to labor law.
- Experience in manufacturing and engineering-related industries.
- Experience using and/or managing an ERP system including periodic software upgrades
Preferred:
These are qualifications that would be nice to have and are not required.- Exceptional Analytical Skills for identifying trends, forecasting, and making data-driven decisions.
- Experience with Epicor Kinetic and/or multiple ERP/MRP systems.
