This role will ensure accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, cost accounting, data integrity and operational financial support to drive profitability and efficiency. The Controller will serve as a strategic business partner to plant leadership, providing financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and performance insights to support operational decision-making. Duties and Responsibilities Financial Management & Reporting Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes Prepare and submit required financial reports to corporate headquarters Ensure compliance with accounting standards and corporate reporting policies Support internal and external audit processes Cost Accounting & Manufacturing Finance Own and maintain standard cost systems Analyze costs variances Oversee inventory valuation, cycle counts, and physical inventory Partner with operations to support cost control and efficiency initiatives Support capital expenditure analysis related to plant investments Budgeting & Performance Management Lead annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes Track plant performance against budget and explain key variances Provide financial analysis to support operational decision-making Internal Controls & Compliance Ensure strong internal controls over financial reporting and inventory Support internal and external audits Oversee tax compliance coordination (income tax, sales/use tax, property tax) Monitor updates to accounting and regulatory requirements and implement necessary changes Coordinate with external advisors to ensure timely and accurate filings Treasury Support Monitor cash position and working capital (AR, AP, inventory) Support intercompany transactions and cash settlements Assist the CFO with banking-related activities as needed Qualifications Education & Certification Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required CPA or CMA preferred Experience 8-12+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience Minimum 3-5 years in a manufacturing environment Strong cost accounting experience required Skill & Competencies Hands-on and execution-focused Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Solid understanding of inventory management and production processes Effective communication skills and ability to partner with operations Results-driven with a strong sense of ownership Work Authorization Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Equal Opportunity Employer Statement The Company extends employment opportunities to qualified applicants and employees without regard to age, race, color, sex, religion, national original, pregnancy, marital status, veteran status, physical or mental disability unrelated to the employee's ability to perform his/her job and/or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local law.
