Job Summary :
The Controller will be responsible for managing the company's financial operations, monitoring and upkeep of its financial health, including accurate financial reporting, internal controls, compliance, and implementing new processes. Responsibilities Assist in the preparation and review of financial reports Run monthly audit reports, analyze data and report findings to the CM team Manage the annual audit and preparation of necessary forms and documents Develop policies, technical accounting analysis, and procedures Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information Assist with the design and implementation of account reconciliations Prepare financial analysis for contract negotiations and product investment decisions Improve processes and internal controls in all areas managed Provide accounting guidance to all departments Responsible for the timely completion of external financial statements under US GAAP Manage debt facilities and review compliance reporting as applicable Create and maintain controls to verify the integrity of financial systems and data Evaluate and improve effectiveness of financial software and systems Perform and complete month-end closing process for all company entities Financial report generation on a monthly and annual basis Responsible for planning functions including budget and forecasting Lead the preparation and management of working capital analysis Oversee and manage month and year-end financial reporting close processes Prepare quarterly and monthly sales and use tax returns Ensure that payments are posted correctly to accounts Create and present financial and tax strategy recommendations to senior leadership Analyze and interpret balance sheet and income statement metrics and trends Manages A/R and A/P Other duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications such as CPA or CMA are a plus 5+ years experience in financial management or accounting 3+ years experience managing employees Knowledge of financial principles required for budgeting and strategic planning Understanding of financial statements, cash flow, and key financial ratios Understanding of integrated systems of internal control and the relationship to disclosure and financial reporting Proficient with accounting systems and in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills Government tax and regulation knowledge
