This position offers the opportunity to partner directly with the CFO, lead a team, and help drive operational and strategic decision-making across the business.
Position Summary:
This is a critical leadership role responsible for the full scope of accounting functions, financial reporting, and strategic financial planning. The ideal candidate is hands-on, analytical, and experienced in navigating the complexities of a growing business, particularly in construction or related industries.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage all core accounting functions: accounts payable/receivable, and general ledger. Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements aligned with GAAP standards. Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes; provide variance analysis and strategic insights. Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting policies. Collaborate with executive leadership to support strategic planning and operational decision-making. Oversee cash flow, collections, and disbursements. Coordinate audits and tax filings in collaboration with external advisors. Drive continuous process improvement across financial systems and practices. Mentor and manage a high-performing accounting team.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role. Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting standards. Industry experience in construction or related fields is a plus. Advanced Excel skills with a strong analytical mindset. Excellent communication and leadership abilities. Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced setting. Why This Role?
