VP of Commercial Lending /
Commercial Loan Officer Location:
Monticello, MN |
Onsite, Monday-Friday Compensation:
$100,000-$120,000 base salary, based on experience, plus incentive plan and bonus opportunity of up to 21% of base compensation. About the Opportunity NOVON Consulting is partnering with an independent, locally owned community bank that is expanding its commercial lending team. This is a strong opportunity for an experienced lender who enjoys building relationships, growing a portfolio, and being active in the local business community. What You'll Do
  • Develop and manage profitable commercial banking relationships through sales calls, networking, referrals, and proactive customer engagement.
  • Generate, structure, and service commercial loans while maintaining strong credit quality throughout the life of the portfolio.
  • Meet with customers to understand financing needs, explain loan options, and coordinate required application and documentation materials.
  • Analyze financial information, including tax records, balance sheets, and supporting data, to evaluate credit requests and recommend appropriate terms.
  • Approve or deny requests within lending authority and present larger credits to the Officer's Loan Committee.
  • Conduct site visits, collateral inspections, annual reviews, renewals, collections, and delinquency follow-up as needed.
  • Cross-sell loan, deposit, and cash management solutions while delivering responsive, relationship-focused service.
  • Partner with internal teams to meet sales and service goals while ensuring compliance with bank policies, lending guidelines, and applicable regulations. What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of commercial lending experience.
  • Strong knowledge of the commercial lending process, credit standards, financial statement analysis, and loan portfolio management.
  • Familiarity with commercial credit, deposit, and cash management products.
  • Self-motivated, customer-focused professional with strong communication skills, sound judgment, and a commitment to excellent service.
  • Knowledge of business management principles preferred.
