Job Description
Enterprise Bank & Trust seeks an SVP, Compensation to lead enterprise-wide compensation strategy across commercial and community banking, wealth management, and support functions. This executive will design and govern base and variable pay programs, ensure market competitiveness and regulatory compliance, and drive pay equity. Partnering closely with HR, Finance, and business leaders, the SVP will oversee annual merit and incentive cycles, guide executive and broad-based compensation decisions, and present insights to senior leadership. The role requires strong analytical, regulatory, and leadership skills in a relationship-driven, community-focused culture. Responsibilities Lead enterprise-wide compensation strategy aligned with business goals and regulatory expectations Design, implement, and govern base pay, variable pay, and incentive plans for all employee groups Conduct market benchmarking and pay equity analyses to ensure competitive and compliant programs Advise executives and HR leaders on compensation decisions for hiring, promotions, and retention Oversee annual merit, bonus, and salary review cycles, tools, and communications Develop compensation policies, governance frameworks, and approval processes Partner with Finance on compensation budgeting, forecasting, and cost modeling Ensure compliance with all applicable banking, wage and hour, and pay transparency regulations Present compensation insights, dashboards, and recommendations to senior leadership and Board committees Lead and develop a high-performing compensation team and drive continuous process improvement Required Skills Executive compensation design Broad-based compensation programs Market pricing & benchmarking Pay equity analysis Incentive plan modeling HR analytics & reporting Compensation regulations & compliance Budgeting & financial modeling HRIS/compensation systems (e.g., Workday, Market Pay) Leadership & stakeholder management
