Full-time SUMMARY The Controller will oversee all financial reporting and budgeting while ensuring accuracy and completeness of work produced by the accounting staff. They will create and implement policies / procedures to identify, document and resolve accounting issues, while creating procedures to make the financial close and reporting processes more efficient and accurate. This role will provide guidance to leadership on financial direction and strategic business planning. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Prepare and communicate monthly and annual financial statements, KPIs, and performance updates with ownership and leadership Run the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close Ensure compliance with GAAP standards Oversee day-to-day operations of the accounting team-set priorities, coach performance, and support professional development Manage cash flow and forecasting; direct all financial, project-based, and departmental accounting Maintain internal control and safeguards for receipt of revenue, costs, budgets and expenses; actively manage cash Build and manage the annual budget, track and report results Present operational metrics both internally and externally Oversee the 401(k) plan and its administration Review costs and margins-track drivers, allocate costs appropriately, and provide clear revenue/expense insights for decisions Make sure sales tax filings are accurate and on time across all jurisdictions where we operate Work with outside tax accountants-provide required information and assist with tax planning Ensure compliance with financial reporting, tax, and regulatory requirements (federal, state, and local) Create efficiencies-improve processes, tighten controls, and help implement tools/automation that make the team more efficient Stay informed of new accounting guidance and best practices Work closely with leaders across the business so finance processes and reporting support operations, strategy, and good decision-making
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting with an advanced level knowledge of current GAAP standards and financial reporting CPA certification 7-10 years of progressive financial leadership Proven track record of scaling financial operations through periods of growth and transformation Collaborative, servant leadership style with strong communication skills Experience in improving or implementing financial systems and automation Company DescriptionAs an information technology company, Huber is in the business of innovation where we investigate, learn, and implement new technologies and solutions regularly.
