Reports to : Controller Role Description The Assistant Controller is responsible for building and leading the AP/AR shared services function, ensuring disciplined execution of finance operations, and supporting transformation initiatives across multiple entities. This role establishes a scalable operating model for transaction processing and expands into broader coordination and project execution across finance. This role will report to the ICA controller. 1. d Services Development & Leadership Build and lead centralized AP/AR shared services across all entities Transition transactional work from sites to a standardized shared services model Define and implement operating procedures for AP, AR, and expense processes Establish clear ownership, workload balance, and process consistency 2. Finance Operations Execution & Coordination Ensure consistent execution of finance processes across all entities Coordinate with Accounting, Site Controllers, and shared services teams Support month-end execution through tracking, follow-up, and gap resolution 3. Process Ownership & Standardization Own end-to-end operational workflows (AP, AR, transaction processes) Define and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) Ensure processes are scalable, repeatable, and consistently executed 4. AP Automation & System Implementation Lead AP automation implementation and stabilization Ensure alignment between automation tools, ERP systems, and workflows Drive adoption and continuous improvement of automated processes 5. Transformation Projects & Continuous Improvement Support finance transformation initiatives Drive improvements in process efficiency and workflow clarity Participate in cross-functional projects impacting finance operations 6. Issue Resolution & Execution Discipline Identify operational bottlenecks and drive resolution Maintain visibility into execution status and risks Ensure timely follow-up across teams Education & Experience Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required 7+ years of experience in accounting, finance operations, or shared services environment Experience with AP/AR processes and transaction-heavy environments Experience working with ERP systems (Epicor or similar preferred) Experience supporting or participating in process improvement, automation, or system implementation projects Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals and financial statement impact Experience working in multi-entity or multi-site environments preferred Skills & Competencies Strong execution and process management mindset Ability to drive accountability and follow-up across teams Comfortable working across functions and locations Structured thinking with strong problem-solving capabilities Clear and concise communication skills Demonstrates ownership, initiative, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
