Job Description
Our client is seeking an Assistant Controller to join their growing finance team. This is a highly visible leadership opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys financial analysis, cost accounting, process improvement, and partnering with operations to drive business performance. You'll work closely with senior leadership and play a key role in financial reporting, forecasting, and strategic decision-making within a dynamic manufacturing environment. What You'll Be Doing Lead and coordinate the monthly financial close process Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports Analyze financial results, variances, trends, and key performance metrics Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities Oversee product costing and manufacturing cost analysis Partner with operations leaders to improve financial and production performance Maintain and improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting accuracy Supervise Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable team members Assist with strategic initiatives and continuous improvement projects Who We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Accounting required CPA and/or MBA preferred 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting, manufacturing, or private industry Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Experience with cost accounting, inventory accounting, or manufacturing accounting strongly preferred Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis Power BI experience is a plus Proven leadership ability with strong communication and problem-solving skills Ability to partner effectively with both finance and operational teams What Our Client Offers Opportunity to work directly with executive leadership High-impact role with visibility across the organization Leadership responsibilities with long-term growth potential Collaborative, team-oriented culture Stable and growing organization Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package
