Duties Oversee our accounting operations systems with billing, AR, AP, GL, payroll, benefits, job costing, and inventory accounting related to generators, parts, and field service work. Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements and management reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and KPIs such as utilization and margin by job) Review all aspects of general ledger accounting, including account reconciliation, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliation to ensure accuracy and completeness. Implement and maintain internal controls and processes to make our customer experience excellent. Communicate with sales teams to ensure projects are being billed and reported for P&L on each individual project into detail. Supervise cash management activities, including forecasting, asset inventory, liquidity analysis, to optimize cash flow with reporting to ownership. Prepare detailed financial reports, analysis, and forecasts that support strategic decision-making across departments. Create budget reports for each departments based on discussion with ownership. Oversee payroll processing using various accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage or Xero while ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations. Conduct technical accounting research related to complex transactions involving non-profit or governmental accounting standards where applicable. Drive continuous improvement initiatives for financial processes, leveraging expertise in budgeting, financial software tools, and account analysis. Complete all steps in the accounting process in house to fully understand how our processes are currently being used to assist all teams. Requirements Minimum 7 years of experience as a Financial Controller, CFO or equivalent high level position Minimum Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification will be recignized. Extensive experience in corporate accounting with a strong understanding regulatory reporting processes in service, equipment sales and or contractor operations. Proven expertise in financial report writing, balance sheet reconciliation, account reconciliation, and general ledger management. Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar platforms; proficiency in financial management tools is essential. Strong knowledge of double entry bookkeeping principles along with debits & credits handling. Experience working within city, state, federal business operations. Demonstrated ability to analyze complex financial data through forecasting, financial analysis, and account analysis techniques. Excellent communication skills for preparing clear reports and collaborating with cross-functional personnel within the company. High level of technical accounting understanding combined with keen attention to detail and organizational skills. $75,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
