They are seeking a hands-on Controller who's excited to step in, create structure, elevate the team, and bring systems and reporting to the next level. What You'll Be Doing Own and lead the monthly close process from start to finish Ensure accuracy across the general ledger, financial reporting, and reconciliations Oversee A/P and A/R functions, driving efficiency and accountability Partner across the business to support operational decision-making Act as the primary liaison for external audits and compliance activities Support budgeting and financial planning processes Work closely with leadership while also operating independently in day-to-day execution Where You'll Make an Impact Create structure where it doesn't exist today (processes and documentation) Elevate reporting and visibility through tools like Power BI Support and optimize ERP systems Identify ways to streamline workflows and reduce manual work Bring a more proactive, forward-looking approach to accounting and reporting Leadership Responsibilities Lead and develop a team of 5 across A/P, A/R, and staff accounting Coach, mentor, and raise the bar on performance and accountability Empower the team while also being willing to roll up your sleeves when needed What They're Looking For 5+ years of progressive accounting experience Strong experience with month-end close and financial reporting Proven ability to improve processes, not just maintain them Comfort working with systems, data, and reporting tools Natural curiosity around technology and automation A self-starter who thrives in environments where you can figure things out and build as you go Why This Role Stands Out Opportunity to step into a company with strong roots and shape what comes next Blend of technical accounting, systems, and leadership High visibility across the organization A chance to build something better, not just inherit it If you're someone who sees gaps as opportunities and enjoys building structure, improving systems, and developing people—this could be a really rewarding next step.
