University Heights, OH Compensation:

$120,000 - $135,000 base salary + 8% bonus Overview We are seeking an experienced Controller to lead the accounting and financial reporting function for a multi-entity organization. This is a senior leadership role reporting directly to the CFO and overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, compliance, and audit activities. The Controller will manage and develop an established accounting team while serving as a strategic partner to executive leadership. Key Responsibilities Lead all accounting operations including general ledger, month-end close, financial reporting, and account reconciliations Oversee internal controls and ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements Manage and mentor the accounting team, including performance management and development Coordinate annual external audits and serve as the primary point of contact for auditors Oversee cash management, treasury activities, payroll oversight, and financial policies Prepare and review financial statements, variance analysis, and management reporting Support tax filings including federal, state, and local returns as applicable Partner closely with the CFO on process improvements, financial initiatives, and special projects Required Qualifications Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation - required MBA with an accounting or finance focus - required 10+ years of progressive accounting experience 5+ years in a leadership or management capacity Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting Proven ability to lead teams and communicate effectively with executive leadership Preferred Experience Experience in multi-entity or complex organizational environments Prior oversight of audits, compliance, and regulatory reporting Hands-on leadership style with a process-improvement mindset Why This Role Senior-level Controller position with high visibility and impact Direct partnership with executive leadership Stable organization with long-term growth opportunities Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled To read our Candidate Privacy Information Statement, which explains how we will use your information, please navigate to https://www.lhh.com/us/en/candidate-privacy The Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and/or security clearance requirements
